Chantelle Thompson

Chantelle is a midlife strength coach and the founder of Self Care Fitness, a supportive small-group training community based in Lake Macquarie. A mum of three (including twins!), she brings real-life experience, empathy, and a deep understanding of the challenges many women face through midlife.

She is a Certified Perimenopause & Menopause Coach, Stretch & Mobility Coach and is currently studying her Certificate IV in Nutrition, while also navigating her own perimenopause journey. This allows her to support women in a way that feels practical, relatable, and genuinely understood.

Chantelle specialises in helping women over 35 build strength, confidence, and resilience while managing conditions such as lipedema, osteopenia, fibromyalgia, arthritis, and the effects of perimenopause and menopause.

Her own journey began in 2014, where she lost over 40kg and discovered the life-changing impact of strength training. Since then, she has trained across a wide range of modalities including CrossFit, bootcamps, powerlifting, and bodybuilding—but strength has always remained her foundation.

Living with neurodivergence & fibromyalgia, Chantelle leads with honesty and compassion. She believes movement is one of the most powerful—and often underutilized—tools for improving both physical and mental wellbeing, and is passionate about helping women feel strong, supported, and capable in their bodies again.
